Yes, we deliver our chocolates during the summer season. However, due to higher temperatures, additional delivery times may be added.

We carefully check weather conditions before each shipment to ensure the quality and integrity of your products. If a heat wave is forecast, we prefer to delay shipping rather than compromise the freshness of the chocolate.

Although often confused, wild blueberries (Vaccinium angustifolium) and bilberries (Vaccinium myrtillus) are two different fruits:

• The wild blueberry , typical of Quebec and particularly of Lac-Saint-Jean, grows in dense mats and produces several small fruits per plant. Its flesh is light, sometimes greenish, and it is very resistant to cooking.
• The blueberry , more widespread in Europe, grows wild on isolated shrubs. It is generally darker, with purple or bluish flesh.
  

Both fruits are rich in antioxidants, but the taste, texture, and appearance differ significantly. At La Maison du Bleuet , we work exclusively with wild blueberries from Lac-Saint-Jean , renowned for their intense flavor and exceptional properties.

Wild blueberry plants (Vaccinium angustifolium) are more difficult to grow than cultivated blueberry varieties because they naturally thrive in very specific conditions: acidic, well-drained, and often sandy soils like those of Lac-Saint-Jean . Wild blueberries spread primarily by their roots and are often managed as an extensive crop rather than a garden planting.
